Reflection: Part 2

On this entrance you will be able to read a brief reflection about the second part of the subject. I'm going to do it following some questions to make it easier to read it and make it.

-WHAT DID I KNOW ABOUT WHAT WE HAVE DONE?

I knew how to use properly some applications like moviemaker due to the fact that I used it on high school and I have been using it after each holiday abroad, (I like making a video of each trip mixing music, pictures and videos). Moreover, I also knew the many options that Power Point has.
On the other hand, I was able to subtitle videos but using youtube, I didn't know applications like dotsub.



-WHAT HAVE I LEARNT?

On this part of the subject I have discovered many applications that I didn't know before, some applications to create animation like animoto or voki, others to subtitle videos like dotsub, others that make a text of what you are talking like speechnotes or dictanote.
Moreover, I have also discovered some alternative applications like quizizz for kahoot, and to improve my knowledge about applications that I knew before like excel.
On the other hand, I have learnt how to use edmodo, that it's a really interesting platform for teachers and students.

-WHAT IS GOING TO BE THE MOST USEFUL FOR ME? AND THE LEAST?

First of all, the most useful thing that we have learned in class is how to use the digital whiteboard since I find it really motivating for kids. Besides motivation, it's also interesting for young students owing to the fact that it makes them work with their fine motor skills, get in touch with technology and improve their cognitive skills.
Secondly, I find really useful for my future the platform edmodo. Despite the fact that I will be an infant teacher, I reckon that the many options that it offers are really interesting to use in class.
Moreover, applications like viki or animoto could motivate my future students since in class we could create a hero and develop a story around him. That will improve students' imagination, language skills etc.
On the other hand I think that applications like dotsub are not going to be that useful due to the fact that I consider other alternatives easier to use.

-WHAT HAVE I LIKED THE MOST?

I have enjoyed a lot this part of the subject because it was directly related to what, as teachers, can we do with technology in class to motivate our students, to make them aware of the importance of technology nowadays and to teach them how to learn through some applications.
The thing that I liked the most was the interactive whiteboard presentation, I found it really useful and interesting for my future.
